Upcoming Event: Astro Throwback — Traditional Astrology Conference

Astro ThrowbackThe Portland School of Astrology is hosting a weekend conference — Astro Throwback — covering a wide range of astrological topics, 27 – 28 February 2016, in Portland, OR (USA). I will be delivering two presentations over the weekend on electional and medical astrology:

Electing With Purpose: Radicality in Electional Astrology. Electing is an art that is practiced widely in the modern astrological community, but rarely with the degree of precision its practitioners assume they’re achieving. With radical elections, the astrologer enters a person-centered electional process that properly exploits the power and purpose of the nativity. Learn how in this presentation.

Thwarting Dr. Death: The Astrologer’s Use of Decumbiture. Historically, astrology and natural philosophy formed the cornerstone of medicine. Through decumbiture charts, astrologers assessed the true cause of an illness, identified its severity and also its cure, while forecasting the cycle of critical periods. This presentation explores the use of decumbiture charts through historical and modern chart examples.

Additionally, I will present an all-day horary workshop on Monday, 29 February:

The Divinatory Art of Horary Astrology: All-day Horary Workshop. Horary astrology is a remarkably decisive technique that allows both astrologer and client to cut to the chase of a seemingly unsolvable dilemma. Through chart delineation, the client’s range of options are assessed and thoroughly explored. In this workshop we will study the guiding principles of horary technique, using both historical and modern examples. We will explore charts related to relationships and pregnancy, career and finance, missing objects and more, with a mind to what is generalizable across fields of questioning. Suitable for all levels, regardless of prior horary experience.

This weekend will host a number of excellent American astrologers — Austin Coppock, Bill Fraser, Andrea Gehrz, Jaysen Paulson, Jenn Zahrt, and more. For more information, visit the PSA’s registration portal here.
